Introducing a Chinese kid from Australia!

Hi Steemit community! It was recommended to me that I start my first post with a short introduction so here it is! 

My name is Simon and I’m 17 years old from Australia where I currently live and study in high school, I enjoy maths, physics and psychology! I don’t really know what I want to be in the future yet but hopefully something meaningful and enjoyable. During my free time, I enjoy playing League of Legends and Hearthstone which I might post about in the future!  

I come from a loving family of 3 (my mum, brother and I, dad lives in another state) and am blessed with a loving girlfriend of over 2 years (yup, we started “going out” when we were just 15!). Maybe I could post about some relationship advice but I doubt anyone’s gonna take relationship advice from a 17 year old seriously lol.  

I started researching the world of cryptocurrencies a few months ago and invested about 2 weeks ago, few days before the crash lol. I lost about 25% of my money over the 2 days but have since recovered and have around a 10% profit! I hope to post about news and announcements I find regarding cryptocurrencies to help guide investors like myself! Even though I still have much to learn about the world of technology behind cryptocurrencies.  

I also enjoy playing violin! On violin, I enjoy playing anime openings (even though I don’t watch anime anymore),  pop songs and even rock songs (that I know from guitar hero lol). I had a teacher for a few months when I was a twelvie but quit because coming from a Chinese family, my mum became too pushy about practicing it lol. So now I just play whenever I want, which ranges from like 2 or 3 hours a day to not touching it at all for like half a year. Maybe when I get better in the future I can post violin covers of songs I like/requests!

I’ve always been passionate about writing creative short stories from a very young age. Recently, I’ve become very interested in writing spooky stories (though never actually tried to write one lol) and I hope to use Steemit to begin! They probably won’t be very good and any feedback would be much appreciated!  

I believe Steemit is an incredibly innovative platform and this is just the beginning of a new age of blogging and writing online. I endeavour to contribute my part to this developing community in delivering high quality content from a wide range of fields that I’m interested in!
