WHAT IS STEEMIT DOING ABOUT PROTECTION

Hello everyone

At the weekend @omsoc had his account hacked by @stcem. This is very unfortunate and we need to look out for this and at least learn a lesson. You may ask what we could do to help ourselves be better protected. If you are not powering up with your SBD then at least stick it into the savings section. Someone mentioned yesterday that is not the reason for crypto. It is instant without regulations such as waiting periods. Well my answer to that is then learn the hard way and maybe you won't be a smart ass anymore. Unfortunately we learn all the time from the good and bad.

I had one query though that I find rather strange. I know this platform is in beta so it is easy to get things right or make them right. When I look at @stcem wallet there was a chance to at least claim some of the money back and hopefully they did. If he got away with the second batch then someone up higher needs a good kicking. There is a lot of money invested on here and people in charge need to get a wake up. This platform needs to grow and doesn't need any negativity of this type. Please put things in place if you haven't already otherwise members may get jumpy and lose confidence in the platforms ability to protect ones hard earned rewards.
