Army Is Their Own law

Biggest problem is what their leader is telling them.
Like most countries we are in a lock down period with the Government using it's powers to control and get their message across. Sometimes though force is used when it shouldn't be used and when it should be used it is non existent. Shops are being looted with no Police in sight and I have no problem with the law jumping all over those people.
I was all for using the Army and Police to control areas which could have been a problem. The first week or so it took some time getting the message across, but it seems people are listening except a small minority. Drinking on the streets was the problem, but the alcohol has since run out and is no issue anymore.

Stopping people in the street making them do tricks is unacceptable. Who do they think they are?
There was a story doing the rounds yesterday about a gentleman being beaten to death by some soldiers. My first reaction was what did he do to deserve this as it sounded way too heavy handed. Initial reports mentioned he was sitting in a deck chair under an umbrella in his garden having a beer. It turns out that this was why they entered his premises and lost his life.

This is what they are meant to be preventing. Transporting and selling of liquor is prohibited right now.
The rule is you are not allowed to buy alcohol and if you have alcohol you can consume it at home on your own. The soldiers firstly asked the question why he was outside drinking which is not illegal in your own garden. For answering back that he was abiding by the law wasn't received very well and the reason for the beating.

This says it all.
The neighbors recorded the illegal beating and for recording this with their phone camera were also beaten with a whip. The video was deleted off the phones and luckily one is now circulating showing who was involved.I just don't get it as the soldiers raided the house and removed any alcohol that was on the premises which is stealing. Talk about abusing your power and people not worthy of wearing a uniform. There are more issues though as the scene had over 6 vehicles parked outside as the Police had arrived as well and they joined in not policing the law and making everything worse than what it already was.

Thank goodness this lot are not going to fight a war. They can't protect their own people and have no clue and shows what caliber of training or lack there of.

You don't have to go hunting for their training either.
People had mentioned that their biggest fear was the abuse of power inflicted on them as power has definitely gone to some individuals heads and quite a few of them it seems. During a State of Emergency the Army and Police are the law and it will most likely not even go any further as the report will most likely be all false and full of lies.
I would stab at a guess it is petty jealousies of the ones who have and those that don't. This guy had a house and a decent car which the one Police officer mentioned to the chaps wife saying we also own our own cars. This is not something normal as why was that even mentioned. The female officer then scratched the car which the wife complained about and received a slap for her disobedience.
Her husband was beaten so badly he unfortunately died 3 hours later after they had left. People are angry about this as it seems they were targeted for no reason. Was this an organised hit for something else we don't know about? I just can't make head or tail of it as this is another world the people in the town ships live. There is no reason to enter someones property so I am hoping this matter gets escalated. I just think there has to be some underlying issue and he was killed for something else unrelated to drinking a beer in his garden.
In our area we don't have any problems yet this unfortunate victim is the 9th recorded death at the hands of the Police and Army. The others were breaking the rules of the lock down, but honestly losing a life for that seems a bit drastic and cruel.
When I was in the Army we still had to report to our superiors and were made accountable for our actions. Even if we fired one bullet we had to have a good enough reason for that and couldn't just kill because we had a uniform. This tells me things have changed and there are no controls with superiors over stepping their lines and this doesn't bode well.
When I grew up if you needed help I was taught to ask a Policemen or someone you could trust. No wonder there is no trust between the people and the forces looking after them for their "protection." This could have been so good for the community and the combined forces working together, but it seems they have lost the plot entirely.
