DNAIPA
What’s up my beer loving Steemians? I have another killer sour to gush about this week. DNAIPA by Speciations Artesian Ales is a sour IPA dry hopped with a copious amount of delicious variety of hops.
If you have not had a sour IPA it’s an experience. You get the all the hoppy, citrus notes from the IPA then you get that awesome funky sour earthiness.
The aroma is subtler than most IPAs, but it got bite that tickles the nose. It’s fairly carbonated which helps open the nose.
I always pick up lost of citrus notes with IPAs. So when you add some funky sour notes I start to get more of lemon head quality. Then the hoppy bitterness wipes away all traces of that candy and leaves your mouth slightly dry. This may sound bad, but it keeps you sipping.
Overall, I can’t say anything bad about this beer or brewery. I’d highly recommend checking them out if you are in Michigan.
That sounds really good! I'm gonna have to try and find that one round here. Currently on a Hazy Little Thing kick by Sierra Nevada, pretty delish. Also got a steal on Lil Squeezy Juicy Ale by Deschutes, not bad, but I still prefer Fresh Squeezed.
All good choices! I’m a fan of the hazy beers. Check out Old Nation’s M-43.
That is one hell of a review... I ain’t no beer expert but one thing I do know is IPA’s give me a headache worse than wine does. Lol. Seriously though that does sound pretty tasty!!!
