Steemit Hardfork 2.0
Hi Everyone,
So there has been some changes this week that make it difficult to post at this time, especially for minnows. These changes, known as hardfork 2.0, were implemented to stop spamming and cheating the community of Steem. I get that there are issues with the implementation but it's time to enjoy your life, keep calm and check back next week when things settle down😺
Link to Summary of Changes and SourceWithout getting into the details, I just want to say that mitigating spam comments and posts is great. Serial posters with low quality content will also find it less profitable to spam the network. This is great for casual posters and people who continue to put effort into their posts as there should be more available Steem for quality over quantity.
I've come across far too many people who are using Steemit like Twitter. People who can't even bother to respond to quality commenters or upvote them. Selfish individuals turn people away from this platform. These changes are going to be great in the long-run for adoption and the overall community. What do you think?

I agree that the selfish people will now be gone and I like it but the top ones can't upvote themselves so much either. Overall good but many will steer away and that conerns me as less people will talk about this website and it could die down.
It's definitely debatable, more people talking about Steemit is better. Let's just assume those people have already told their entire network about Steemit and have too much vested interest to give up. Also the price is down so now is a good time to tinker.
As prices are down, wise people take this chance to buy more.

I don’t have a problem with people using Steem like twitter as long as it’s on a twitter-like website. There is one for Steem although I don’t recall it’s name, but over all I think this hardfork is gonna be awesome as long as the RCs work as intended after they recharge and the discounted accounts start being used by websites. I know that might seem like a lot of ifs but I trust the developers and the blockchain.
One great thing about Steem is it goes far beyond Steemit. However if you want to Tweet, there is Twitter. Time will definitely tell and I love your optimism
