Belianska Cave is the only public accessible by the Caves in the Tatras. It is situated on the slopes of Belianske Tatry nad Tatranskou Kotlinou and is one of the first caves in Europe, where electric light was introduced.
The entrance to the cave lies at an altitude of 890 m and is accessible by a serpentine walkway from the Tatra basin, overcoming a height difference of 122 m. Currently, the cave takes a 1370 m long (the duration of the tour is 70 minutes).
The entrance parts of the cave have been recognized by the goldsmiths in the first half of the 18th century. But for years they have remained secret. The entrance hole was again found by L. Gulden and the gold digger Fabry in 1826.
