Is there Alien life in the universe?

in #life10 years ago

Firstly, there simply has to be Alien life somewhere out there... Our own Solar System seems to have many places where water is found, given the Billions of Galaxies and Trillions of stars within these zones the odds are very favorable that life must exist elsewhere.  To date we have two space probes which have only just left our Solar System, however man made radio waves have traveled up to ten times the diameter distance outward or less an 0.000001% of the Milky Way Galaxy alone.  However many Stars have a habitation zone that exists which  provide the right climate for carbon based life forms to exist similar to our own. To date scientists and astronomers have found over 4,000 planets surrounding nearby stars that cause that star to 'wobble' due to a tiny gravitation pull between the planet and its star.  What is not clear is since these planets must be so massive to influence the orbiting star it is unlikely they possess the right conditions for life as we know it to exist. Regardless what of Earth 65 million years ago with Dinosaurs running around? Anyone would call this lifeform alive but hardly worth the attention of Aliens and hardly likely to have been able to communicate off planet.  Over time the algorithms will be refined and better able to assess the likely places life could exist off world, but it will be decades before any organized searches could be mounted and many decades more before the analysis could be completed. What would be more useful is a more organized analysis of our own interaction with the home grown lifeforms on our own planet and our human impact in our own nest for our own future as a lifeform.  If we continue to mess around our own planet and our own co-inhabitants toward unknown consequences where else do we go as a sustainable species to secure our own survival???
