The evil clown and the snake burglar

4th of July of 2015 my wife and I were in LA. She wanted to go see a neon Clown. SO, we stopped to eat, and then waited about a block down from Mr. Clown waiting for the Sun to go down. Figure it was 9-9:30pm. We get a call at this time from our friend that is watching our house & animals. As always cell phone reception from our house sucks. So we get 3 panicked calls from our friend, cutting out before we can get any information. Of course the worst goes through our heads while we are several thousand miles away. Eventually the call is about a 'giant' snake on our stairway. I began calling and waking up neighbors (not realizing it's probably 1am locally) that would grab the snake and it out before it disappeared in the house. Finally someone came in and relocated the (long, but not so giant) rat snake. That's the story behind this photo:
