The New 'Anti Dog Fence'
Hey everyone, as a traditional gardener there can be many drawbacks. I come from an Aquaponics background, there really is no better way to grow food. The only drawback to Aquaponics is the initial setup cost, and again today I realized this. I will do a blog soon of the damage caused by the dogs hunting moles in my vegetable garden but for now enjoy the improvements I made to the 'anti dog string fence'...
Here I took a quick video of the upgrades and how 'well it worked'..
Luckily we have two dachunds which don't cause too much damage, the bigger dogs are the problem, a Rhodesian Ridge back, and two huge boerboels. My thinking was 'least point of resistance' so a simple string fence should work? Initially it did until they started going through it.
Today I added more poles and string, lets hope this works, but judging by the video this was not a very good start ;) Love them all the same.

You need a electric fence. That will keep the critters out. Watch out for that dog, it looks dangerous 😋.

I had to resort to deploying 40000 volts to keep my dog off the garden. I would plant something and as soon as turned my back my dog would come and dig it up. I tried all sorts of non electric fences but he kept finding a way through.
One morning after it had rained all night my dog went to sit on the bottom wire and received a high voltage zap to his butt hole. It seems dog have a memory circuit wired somewhere between their brain and their butt, now he won't go anywhere near the fence and it's not even turned on.
Haha hectic, that would work for sure problem just costly.
