Hartbeespoort Dam South Africa, Stop 1 Gorgeous Jersey Cows!

Hey everyone. We decided to take a trip to Hartbeespoort today in the North West of South Africa. Another 'hidden gem' in this beautiful land, a definite on your 'to do list' if ever you decide to pop in for a visit, Hartbeespoort certainly caters for the local and international visitor of all age groups, There is something for everyone in this amazing little Dam (lakeside) town.

Our first stop was a beautiful Jersey farm just on the outskirts of the dam, look at these most amazingly well conditioned Jersey cows.

I am not sure judging by her expression that she was as happy to see me as I was to see her however, she looks a little confused even ;)

Here we have a general overview of more of them with the mountains and dam in the background, just idyllic..

Solar powered energizer to keep the cows in and the 'tsotsis' (criminals) out. What you can see at the top are irrigation sprinklers installed to keep the lucern in top condition and well hydrated for the cows.

Can you believe their perfect condition just look at that leather shine with health and beauty. They are very inquisitive very friendly and extremely pretty.

This one is just beautiful I think I will be submitting it to papa-peppers animal contest.

My Uncle is a cow farmer in the Eastern Cape and he has over 1000 heads of cow. I know a good cow when I see one.. This beauty is certainly one of the most beautiful she is in the most pristine amazing condition. They are all grazing here in Lucern fields they look so good because they eat so good.

We took pics of everything from the Dam to local art to pubs and restaurants and the dam wall from on top as well as from a distance. Stay tuned for more coming soon.
