Floral Plot Life!!
Hey everyone, given that I live on a plot the flower varieties here are truly spectacular. I took a walk around the plot yesterday with my Dad @quailbreeder who is visiting over the festive season and we took some nice pictures!
The colors here are incredible and flower and plant species vast both the ones that my landlord has in his nursery as well as naturally occurring!
We have a ridge/mountain to the South of the plot where incredible indigenous plant and flower varieties thrive!
It has been very dry of late, luckily however we have just had some fantastic rain the last two days. This 'dagga' plant really needed water and just a few hours later received plenty.
Here we have one of my favourite creatures foraging the lavender plants, I have recently discovered that lavender and perennial basil is an incredibly good plant for bees all through the year. I plan to plant tons over the dearth (winter) season!
One of the only three albino Donkeys in South Africa having a nibble on Dad's fingers!
Coco's palm Tree's with the dark clouds in the background about to bring some much needed rain!
Trust you have an incredible Sunday and a fantastic remainder to your festive season.
Cheer$;)
I keep hearing about perennial basil lately. Maybe it's a hint that I should start growing some.
yes hehe I cut some from my Aunt and Landlords plants apparently they grow from cuttings ill try you try and lets compare notes? Apparently the bees love it too. Cheer$;)
