Catching Swarms In Winter!

Hey everyone, are you having a superb weekend? After yesterday's activity I sure am. Generally it is not considered 'normal' to catch swarms of bees in Winter, but alas, how lucky am I?

This is a sign of an excellent honey flow. These guys have just moved in. Swarm number 40.

    Swarm number 40 for this year, SERIOUSLY? WTF! That's just not fair. The best I have ever seen is 9.

    Haha its true brother lucky us right? Last night we harvested around 15 kgs from around 4 hives. Happy days. Cheer$;)

    I lost 11 of 15 hives this last winter to mice and a cold snap after it started to warm up. I just started my second attempt to raise some Queens yesterday. We will see what happens.
