BEE BUMS AND BLUEGUMS!!

Hey everyone, it is said that Blue Gums (Eucalyptus Tree's) are one of the main reasons we have such a magnificent honey from in Pretoria South Africa where I stay.

On this recent visit to our second site around 20 kms from where I live this epic sight...

We are now well into Autumn and it would seem that the Blue Gum Tree's have begun to flower, what a glorious sight smell and amazing sound hearing thousands of bees busy veraciously harvesting from these flowers as they do.

This promises to be incredibly promising for our Winter honey flow, tonight we plan to go and inspect some hives for honey, possibly even harvest from a few?

These Blue Gum Tree's are native to Australia also known as a Tasmanian bluegum is a highly cultivated in Australia and is evergreen, do check out more here as per wikipedia ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucalyptus_globulus

Here we have a nice overview of this majestic tree taken from a few feet back, what Mcdonald's is to human's this is to bees, just way healthier ;P
