DECENTRALIZED is freedom, and it's great

Totally agree..people do not understand the importance of decentralization always want to to trust centralize authority only. They trust the centralize authority even if they loose the personal data and password because centralize apps are more prone to hacking.

That's the flip side to the saying "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." I've tried sharing information w/ folks close to me but only the ones who are ready to receive the information act on it.

A great post @craig-grant. I also have a lot of trouble convincing my friends to join Steemit. Sometimes they go like: 'i might want to do this'. but it's just like you say, they just don't get the decentralized bit of it.

I've had the same troubles. I only got one person to buy Bitcoin and I have a lot of friends. I pretty much gave up. But I'm going to try again soon. I had 4 or 5 people that were slightly interested. The buying barrier was the hardest part. I was able to get them over the decentralized barrier with examples from silicon valley, Linux, internet of things, and just by talking a lot about inflation and Fiat interest rates. But thanks for posting. I concur with everything you said. But Dantheman is still "the guy" haha!!
