Winter Fun in the Country
Winter is a pretty season, especially in the country.
Staying warm inside by a fire, enjoying a hot drink, and looking outside to see the snow covering the fields and woods is an incredible feeling. One I can't really put into accurate words.
But I feel that being outside in nature is wonderful during winter. There are no biting insects to deal with, and no poison ivy patches to blister up your skin.
I took the following three photos on an evening walk on my Dad's acreage some years back. We had a fresh snow, followed by a warm-up, which created an eerie fog. The walk was so incredibly peaceful. Not a sound could be heard other than my footsteps and the gentle trickle of water in the creek.
I highly encourage you to take a walk in nature during winter. It offers a sense of serenity and solitude that you cannot find anywhere else.

I completely agree with you. Even though the cold makes it hard to get yourself out there, it's definitely worth it with a big layer of snow. I did the same a couple of years ago. Took a long walk through the woods, close to my hometown. As a bonus, it yielded some amazing pictures aswell!

Love the quad action. I am old enough that when we were kids in the country we had three wheelers when they were still legal. We would tie a sled behind and let it rip!

A fresh snowfall one of my favorite times in the outdoors, too! My dad and I always enjoyed finding fresh tracks in the snow and following them to see what we could find! Some of my favorite memories, for sure!
Winter is disliked by many. But activities like you mentioned make it a great season!
