Enjoying a Brewskie and a Thunderstorm From The Comfort of a Swimming Pool
Most people are smart enough to stay out of water during a thunderstorm.
But my buddy and I didn't feel like getting out of the water. It felt too refreshing after a hot day, so we waited out the storm until it passed.
This isn't the public pool, which closes at 5 pm each day, or earlier if one storm cloud appears on the horizon. Oh no, this is country living. We have our own music, coolers, and beer!
The storm moved off to the east and left beautiful skies and views of the country.
Summer is long, hot, and depressing. For me, the only relief is air conditioning or swimming!

Crushin Stones! If you want hot and depressing try Phoenix in the summer :/ But with the down there's an up and Winter here is GLORIOUS. Can't shovel sunshine!
I've heard about the Phoenix heat. No thanks! I couldn't take it. And shoveling snow really isn't that fun, but winter can be a beautiful season up here.

Us Texans do not get out of the pool during storms either. With 100 degree heat we think you are the crazy one if you leave the pool. LOL
I would never leave a pool, either, if I could help it. (Even if I have to pee).
At first sight I might have been grossed out initially by that comment, not that I might or might not have done the same in the past. BUT, I am about to go swimming in our local lake. Therefore, I have come to the realization that your pool (and my childhood pool) would probably be much more sanitary than my local swimming hole. LOL Very funny...and undeniably honest. :)

Love it :) I often watch storms pass over in the country. Lately, they've been blowing over so fast and then they're gone. It's quite a beautiful sight to see the transformation.
That pool looks like the place to be in the hot summer! Glad you have a place to cool off!
