me too....I tried so hard to get the whole field but I think I would need a wide lens....not too sure how to capture that. I loved the texture too....it did remind me of dry bushing with paint and plaster.
(I see pink in the first one - snow blindness probably :)

If it was me, I would have problably ended up buying a new camera and a new lens :) But that's just me. It all depends on your budget.
The camera that I have now (Panasonic Lumix G80) is so much more easier to use compared to my first body, the Canon 60D:
• It has a touch screen, which allows for some super quick adjustments.
• It has an electronic viewfinder (once you use a camera with an electronic viewfinder, there's no going back to an optical one) that gives tons of info and has real-time preview of the image - basically, what you see in the viewfinder is what your shot will look like.
• It's smaller and much lighter.
That said, the images that it takes are not so much better than the Canon :)
How do you feel about your Nikon? Are you limited by it? Would you like your next camera to be another Nikon, or do you perhaps want to move to another system like Fuji, or Olympus/Panasonic?
That's what I was thinking too - lenses are so expensive. I won't get much for my camera now or the lenses, they depreciate quickly. The only problem I would have with lighting bc of my eye sight. I'd have to go to a camera store to check it out. I've read about them and they sound great.
I'm not married to Nikon - not like Macs...hehe....I'm open to other systems, yes. I do find the Nikon bulky.
Hey Deb, visiting the camera store might be the best thing to do, as you can try different cameras and see how they feel in your hand.
I am a proponent of mirrorless cameras, so I'd suggest that you check Fuji (X-T20 is a great body), the Micro 4/3 offerings from Lumix and Olympus, as well as Sony :)

Concessions are country roads with no names apparently. Some of them get names, some don't. So we were pretty far north considering we past Concession Road 1....and others with names.
Oh, okay I get it. We have a similar road-naming system using CR for "county road".
Well, do take care out there on the concessions! Looks incredibly cold and unforgiving, even in full sun.
Thank you! The field was so interesting - I wanted to capture the whole thing but didn't know how plus it was sooooooo windy and cold I couldn't stay out there any longer. The marks on the snow were something I have never seen in my life.
Yup. And more of it for the next while.....I'm bored being indoors and I'm not a mall person. So country drives are nice and good.....with Tim Horton coffee, seat warmer, sunnies, and my camera. Next time though, I walk behind the vehicle and hope there is no need for anyone to reverse said vehicle.

It's fascinating how many types of snow there are. That light, blowing snow is very pretty. It's tough driving in it, but pretty.
Oh ya.....huge white outs. Everything looked pretty and misty one moment and then poof....couldn't see for a bit. Yes and very very cold.
