The Scorum Sportsbook Paradox

It has been a couple of weeks since the last update from the devs that gave some confirmation that they are actually working on a centralized Sportsbook as a way to get a revenue stream. While it could potentially have some upsides for the Scorum platform, I also see a rather big contradiction in the entire setup.

Can anyone debunk this logic...

If the centralized Sportsbook (which is a completely separate project according to the devs) becomes a success, why would they use those earnings to help Scorum/Betscorum take off as that would directly go against the success of the centralized bookmaker.

The reason Betscorum has so much potential is because it brings a solution to an actual real-life problem. Sportsbooks generally offer scam odds taking high juice and big margins in a world where setting the pre-game lines and odds has become somewhat of an exact science making it extremely hard for bettors to actually come out as a winner. On one hand, we have betscorum that potentially fully solves this issue while at the same time the same team is making a centralized Sportsbook that is even more than other bookmakers part of the problem.

I hope they will have a way to also use the odds feed from the centralized bookmaker on betscorum and put up the same offers in SCR to at least get something going. The idea of giving out SCR as a bonus reward to those using the centralized bookie could also be a way to drive more traffic to betscorum but this would be again directly going against their business. This all makes me have a real hard time seeing both succeed.

The existing Scorum blogging & betting platforms continue to be completely neglected in the meantime. The USD amounts in both the wallet and the blogging platform are still not fixed, Betscorum has no action whatsoever right now and from what it looks like the activity on the blogging platform is also taking a deep dive.
