STEEM, Freedom, Transparency, and Possibilities

I Like Freedom

I like that Steamit is not controlled by TPTB (the powers that be).
I like that Steamit uses block chain technology (again no central control).
I like that at least it feels like big brother isn't reading everything I post.
I like that there are no ads on Steamit trying to manipulate my behavior.
I like crypto currencies like STEEM because they are harder for TPTB to manipulate.
I like freedom.

I Like Transparency

I like that you can look at anyone's wallet on Steamit.
I like that you can see the amount of rewards on each post.
I like that I can earn STEEM dollars by posting.
I like posts that make me think OR that make me not think.

I would like to see MORE transparency on Steamit. Such as:

How many total accounts are there on Steamit?
What are the total daily, monthly, weekly payouts?
How fat is your wallet? Rank wallets from highest to lowest.
What is the exact algorithm used to calculate rewards? It would be nice to let us newbies know.

That would be a good start.
Transparency is a good thing, it keeps things honest.
It helps to keep things fair.

Possibilities

Those that control currencies (including crypto currencies) have a choice to make.

1. Enrich themselves.
2. Enrich everyone.

We know the choice that has been made with government sponsored currencies.
What about STEEM?

I vote for number 2.
