What happens to gold & silver, and their mining companies stocks during stock market crashes? Here's your answer. Great recent historical comparisons & excellent analysis by Christopher Aaron.

They crash but that's based on the rush into the usd the last crashes. It was quite different during others in the 20th century. Totally depends on it being a deflationary or inflationary crash

Hi geneeverett, during the 2008 crash they crashed 28% while the s&p500 crashed 57% (as the mining sector was at all time highs) but during the dotcombubble crash of 2001-2003 they gained 68% while the s&p crashed 51% (as the mining sector was at all time lows) give the video a watch👍🏻

That sounds right. But a lot of gold newbies think they always go up during a crash. It's important they know that's not always the case esp if your in America using usd. But I'm with ya on gold in general! Plus when the central bank had to print the years after crash boom!!!!!!

True, a rush to liquidity and margin calls can cause the mining stocks to drop with the stock market initially, but look what happened from 2008-2011 in the miners after the last crash, they shot up in value dramatically. Also considering the gold&silver mining sector is much closer to all time lows than all time highs right now, very interesting!

Agreed !
But we were talking at moment of crash. I agree with ya 200%
Once those central banks start printing there way out it's a huge bump for Gold
