Only a few left now, its getting really hot out!
So this season is over, usually about now is some of the very last oyster, and Agaricus campestris, or field mushrooms. You can also still find in well watered lawns some and watered or shaded old pasture areas some Panaeolus subbalteatus or pan subbs also. And what I found below, can also be found all summer if you look hard enough.
I found a mostly dried up Gymnopilus luteofolius patch. This mushroom is "active", but the small pinhead ones will get bigger if I let them get older, and they need to be large enough to get purple. So I will be watering this patch all summer looks like!
I found this down in this ravine area this morning, here in the city.
And also I found a normal Inactive bunch, that can look like gyms when young, but the color and gill and spore color are much different.
And when they become fully mature they look like this, bonus I captured a bug on this stipe!
I love that path, it looks so serene!
It is very nice indeed!, thank you..
Amazing find! And great pictures too.
Thanks again!
Nice photos! And knowledge.
Right on man!
Very nice pictures. I like the last one the best.
Thanks man, me too!
You have given me a new idea on how to introduce mushrooms on a post because I'd run into them all the time during hikes but never focus too much on them. I enjoy your photos. Aloha!
Thats cool man, thanks!
