Vendor Neutral Serverless Apps - Google's Tech Square Labs 859 Spring St NW, Atlanta, GA
https://www.meetup.com/gdg-atlanta/events/239234544/
Learn how to build a serverless app with local systems experts, Ram Vedam and Atif Mahmood, at their talk: Vendor Neutral Serverless Apps in Python / Zappa.
Talk description:
"Today, no one wants to be responsible for a server. You want to present a great customer experience, and the back-end is a necessary evil that you cannot live without. Here enters 'Serverless' with the promise to provide your back-end without servers.
This talk will cover how to write a Python Serverless REST endpoint using Google Cloud Platform that is flexible enough to also be deployable on AWS using the Zappa Framework."
Talk topics:
- What does it mean to go Serverless?
- How does one secure a Serverless application?
- How does one avoid cold starts?
- Can you go Serverless and avoid being locked into Amazon Web Services?
For answers to these questions and to learn more about this topic, come to this talk!

From https://developers.google.com/groups/ ::
"Google Developer Groups (GDGs) are for developers who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android, Chrome, Drive, and Google Cloud platforms, to product APIs like the Cast API, Maps API, and YouTube API. A GDG can take many forms -- from just a few people getting together to watch our latest video, to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to events like code sprints and hackathons. However, at the core, GDGs are focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience should be developers."
