Drawing of an Indian saint - Raghavendra Swami

Hello Friends,

It's been quite some time since I drew something and I wanted to get into groove and drew this.

It's a drawing of an Indian Saint, scholar and theologian of Sixteenth and Seventeenth century known as Raghavendra Swami.

The reason why I selected this is because, I often visit the place where the saint has been enshrined and the place is known as Manthralayam, which is in the state of Andhra Pradesh in South India.

South India is known for it's religious places and all the South Indian states, whether it's Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka or Kerala have art works and religious places where, people visits from all over the World.

He is said to have worked on more than 40 literary works related to Dvaita concepts and Bhatta Sangraha is one of his well known literary works.

Thousands of people from all over India, especially from the South Indian states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh visit the religious place of Manthralayam.

Manthralayam is situated on the banks of river Tungabhadra in the Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh and it can be reached via road and train routes.

There are many movies based on the life of Sri Raghavendra Swami and visiting the place of his shrine is a routine for me every year or whenever I get time.
