ENCOUNTER WITH A STEEMIT NEWBIE ABOUT UPVOTE

I got encountered with a newbie of which she asked me tmhe following questions.

• WHAT IS UPVOTE?
  I answered her to my own little way that, upvote simply means casting your vote on someone else's write up. On doing so, you are either giving the person Steem dallar or nothing which in turns depend on your voting power.

• WHAT SHOULD BE UPVOTED
  This question do comes to the newnie's mind. What should be upvoted is a post. what you write on should be what people must upvote.

• WHEN SHOULD A POST BE DUE FOR UPVOTE?
  When a write up is being posted in ones blog, then it is due for upvotes. The simple answer is immediately the write up is been posted. When the post gets to seven days, then such post can now be paid out to your wallet which will be separated into steem dollars, steem and steem power.

• WHERE WILL PEOPLE UPVOTE IN A POST?
  Below is a snapshot to show the exact place to upvote a post.
  
  You just need to follow the arrow in the snapshot and you will be totally cleared on where you can upvote a post.

• CAN I UPVOTE MY OWN POST?
  After putting up a write up, it will be posted and then you can upvote your post using the same step in the snapshot. Sometimes it may be automatically set for upvoting your own post.

• IS UPVOTE SAME AS WITNESS?
  When you upvote a post does not mean you have witnessed that steemian. I have been reading how @dhavey has been interviewing some powerful steemians about witness. You can always feel free to visit @dhavey's blog to know more about witness.

• SOMETIMES I SEE POST(S) WITH MORE UPVOTE BUT LESS OR NO DALLAR(S), WHY IS IT SO?
  We have different steemians with less voting power. Some may affect the dallar positively and some may not add a dine to the dallar. To me, the steem power is also a factor to that. Those with high reputations but high Steem power and high voting power can give dollars with ease after upvoting ones' post.

• WHY ARE SOME STEEMIANS ALWAYS RUN AWAY FROM GIVING THEIR UPVOTES?
  Honestly, I have also experienced this factor. I sent my link to a steemians but he warned me strictly not to repeat that again. He said I must not send him any link because he cannot waste his voting power and Steem power. Some steemians do run from upvoting others post.

• AFTER UPVOTING, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO WITHDRAW THE STEEM OR STEEM DOLLAR.?
  It will take you seven(7) days for you to reap what you have sown. Seven days is not the deadline but it is the lowest or least day. 7 days old post is due to cash out.

• CAN TAG ATTRACTS UPVOTE
  The answer is yes. The tag you placed can determine who will upvote your post. Tag is very much necessary in a post. Always use the right TAGS.
