And if they have any hope of establishing themselves as authorities on the subject, they're not allowed to shut up about crypto. Thought leadership leads to incoming relationships. Relationships leads to the hot customers and deals. Hot deals beget even hotter deals. It’s the virtuous cycle of success.
The tech industry is small, and there are only so many trends to go around. The holy trinity of bitcoin, blockchain, and cryptocurrency is currently raging. Startups are pivoting to blockchain. Legacy brands are pivoting to blockchain. Venture firms are investing in cryptocurrencies. Scammers are raising millions for tokens with the word “useless” in their name. The self-help "gurus" and "geniuses" are flooding the market. The Winklevoss twins became bitcoin billionaires. 50 Cent found $8.5 million worth of bitcoin under the couch cushion!
I think Steemit resident flat earther @lasseehlers is a perfect example of there being far too many idiots claiming to be experts and prophets in the crypto space. This thing is so young and changing so fast I don't know if there are many true experts out there.

Everyone been talking about cryptocurrency. I even heard some schools now collect school fees with it. Lol
I definitely agree with you that crypto trading is not an easy task since no one can guess correctly what gonna be next. I heard from an investor-cum-expert in our country that we should buy bitcoins but suddenly the next days rates went down and down and still goind down.
Hmm I agree with the expert and that price going down gives you a better chance to buy.
The day-to-day cryptocurrency price has just dropped down, this is really a matter of fact for new steemian.One risk can be taken at this time, purchasing cryptocurrency. . @contentjunkie

The biggest problem is getting your information from the mainstream media. Every news company offers diametrically opposed views, often by either crypto-fanatics (the new vegan? :p) and on the other side, old timer economists who have no idea what the blockchain actually represents and won't shut up about bloody tulips and bubbles. They don't speak a word about the delicate global soap bubble of the fiat market.
I didn't care about the blockchain or crypto when I joined here. Now my eyes are slowly opening. I am sick of the old www. It's a bloated mess and even my pretty well honed bullshit radar is having trouble filtering this barrage of trash. I've been dreaming of a decentralised web for a while and it was the most important thing I found here.
One week in and I'm hooked. I can post what I feel and even if 20 people see my post and I get no upvotes, that is fine too.
Everything I need to know about crypto and blockchain, I can find right here because the real experts are among us.
