Double legged, single side - CROW
What does it take for crow versatility?
Firstly, excellent wrist mobility is a must. Much of the bodyweight rests hinged on the fascia of the wrists. Starting from the very tips of the fingers working up through the connective tissues and tendons into the forearms. Daily wrist mobility stretching and movements will help strengthen the wrist fascia.
Secondarily, extreme balance beginning from the center of the core will also come in handy. The abdomen ties everything together and will keep you balanced when fully engaging the entirety of your abdominal muscles. Start teeter-tottering into a crow with a soft surface out in front if holding crow pose is proving difficult. Slowly move away from the prop when comfortable, and begin to notice the small improvements over time.
Thirdly, strong shoulders will certainly be of benefit when attempting a crow pose. Hinging onto the hands requires immediate attention from the wrists, as previously mentioned, but also the shoulders. Find an awareness of these so-called, unlit regions, and resonate with the fact that over time, it will only become easier.
Of course, with these requirements, patience goes a long way. Modify as needed until you can sway into a smooth and comfortable crow hold. The strength in these areas will come as small adjustments continue to be made over timely dedication and persistence. By then, your crow versatility will come almost as naturally as breathing.

I tried this a couple of times, unsuccesfully of course, as my arms weren't strong enough, plus I encountered all the issues you mentioned and many many more. In particularly I think a lot of courage is needed to lift your entire body off the floor and to rest it off your arms
Yes, it is a slow developmental process to get there for sure! I think courage is absolutely essential, too. We fail, and fail, and fail yet again, but courage will keep us going until we’ve achieved what we’ve set out to accomplish. Keep it up @livinguktaiwan I believe in you 🙂

My wrists will never be able to hold up to this! Probably an excuse but a predisposition that is too strong to overcome.

I think you have it deep down within, I really do
