Yeah I love it, especially for video. The problem with such a wide aperture and the manual focus is that any little shake and your focus line gets shifted a whole lot! Takes a bit of getting used to.
Yes for sure. Honestly I rarely shoot wider than around f2 anyway. I shoot a lot for Shutterstock so need a high keeper rate with as much sharpness as possible. That Rokinon is a total bargain though anyway. Beautiful lens. Love the 100d too! I wish Nikon did something that compact.
my favorite lens :
canon 50 mm f 1.8 (cheap but really good)
canon 16-35 mm f 2.8 for landscape and milky way shot (i rent it for sone of my trip)
and finally i bought recently the canon 24-70 mm f 2.8 , useful for many kinds of shot without change lens every time
Hi,
So I am mostly into birding and I am using the canon 80D (actually I hesitated between the 7D mark II and the 80d but went for the cheaper with more Mega pixel and It has a good autofocus too... and wifi/nfc which I can pair with my phone... nice gadget for instagramming urge ;) )
My walkaround lens is the sigma 150-600mm Contemporary.
I also have the nifty fifty 50mm f/1.8,
the sigma 150-500 (which is for sell actually)
tamron 70-300 SP
At the moment, I am considering a new lens more for portrait/landscape (still have an old kit lens 18-55mm). I might go for the sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 Contemporary. Any suggestion are welcomed though at that level (I was also thinking of buying the 24-105 canon f/4L or its sigma Art counterpart, but the 24mm end on my aps-c would be equivalent to a 35mm...)
I cannot recommend the Canon 24-105 L. While it is extremely versatile, it has a known common issue where the aperture control connection fails over time. It happened mine, and it happened my friends one. Personally I LOVE Sigmas new glass. All of it.
Canon EOS 1100D for quick shooting..
Fuji x-E1 for other shoots. the thing i love about the fuji is its outstanding quality and old film style exposure settings. i.e. aperture and speed instead of auto and programs.
A lot of my traditional photography was done on 5"x4" plate cameras or mamiya medium format (i have neither of those cameras anymore)
please check out my work. @pcste
Sony a7r

21mm Zeiss Loxia
21mm Olympus 3.5
20mm russian chunk o glass forget the name at the moment
11-14mm Tokina for use on a t3i (time lapse rig)
a lot of 80's glass from thrift shops
sold my 85 1.2 Canon & 24-70mm & 70-200mm 2.8 (miss that one and the 85mm)
a bunch of soviet lenses and other crazy stuff like 85mm 1.2 Cyclops lens - 2 of those for some reason.
Canon 100D usually with a Rokinon 85mm
iPhone 5s ;)
Less frequently:
Minolta SRT201 35mm
Ikoflex I medium format
That Rokinon 85mm! I had it when I shot with Canon. Once you don't mind manual focus, the optics are STUNNING!

I also have a canon 28 mmf 2.8 for landscape
Ah nice one. Before I switched to Nikon I had a Canon 5D and the Nifty Fifty was one of my most used lenses. Crazy value for the money.

I guess I'll fire ahead.
Right now I'm using a Nikon D750. My baby!

Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART
Nikon 50mm 1.8G
Sigma 85mm 1.4
Nikon 105mm 2.8 VR Macro
Nikon 180mm 2.8
As you can see, all primes, no zooms. I gave up shooting events. I also have a handful of Godox flashes and the X1 controller.
Only film camera!!! i like life cycle of old fotos) i like use minolta 110 Zoom SLR Mark II
Oh that's awesome. I'll go check out your photos now.
Why not use digital? It's so convenient. Just curious.

I had an 1100D a couple of years ago when I was shooting Canon. Great camera. Excellent value, and with a decent lens, capable of superb results.
Canon Rebel T3 with Canon 50mm f/1.8 and just recently purchased Canon 24mm f/2.8
That 50mm 1.8 is a killer lens
Yeah, I love it. And it's a steal of a deal, too :)
Yeahp. Nikon do a nice cheap 50 1.8 too. Absolute no-brainer.
I had no idea this thread was already started. I tried to start one the other day, but had I known this was already here I wouldn't have bothered. LOL
Me and my wife are kind of a photo duo, and combined we have:
I switched to Nikon about a year ago but I did have a 6d for a while. I LOVE that camera.
