Your Mind Can Never Be Pleased
If you believe that you need X, Y or Z to be happy or to solve all of your problems, you are mistaken.
Imagine a blank piece of paper as being you, your true self/being, one that is naturally happy and content. Now imagine that you write the word LACK and underneath it I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH on the page. These resemble unconscious beliefs in your mind, beliefs that you need something external to achieve a feeling of content or to validate your existence. These types of belief can easily be formed through comparing oneself with others and in the moment accepting your conclusion (I am not good enough) or (I am lacking X, Y or Z) to be true. With time simple thoughts like these become unconscious beliefs.
No matter how hard you look at that paper, you cannot see past the lack and insecurity. You can become a multi-millionaire with all of the luxury cars and houses in the world but when you go back and look at the piece of paper, the LACK and I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH will still looking back at you. All of that stress to control your life and get those things that you so desperately needed to finally feel good, but to no avail.
It is very unlikely that you could manifest your desires in the first place as that deep rooted belief of lack would only bring more lack into your life. The stress and need to control would block out your natural creativity and motivation. You would spend a lot of time living in your head stressing about why your life isn't the way you want it and more time trying to deal with the emotions that control brings such as fear. You simply wouldn't have time to actively go about the fulfillment of your desires, whether they stem from a place of delusion or not.
Even if you did manage to become rich or famous or whatever it was that you were chasing trying to satisfy your mind’s unconscious lack, it would be useless. The belief would still be there, outside your conscious awareness fooling you into thinking that you need to achieve or attain more in your external reality. The truth is, you need to work on what’s inside. You need to uncover and become aware of your unconscious beliefs and see through their deluded nature. You don’t need to fight them or tell yourself that they are not true; they will dissolve in the presence of your true being. Your true being is what is behind all of the noise, thoughts, emotions and perceptions created by your mind. It will take a while before you can understand this concept if you are currently heavily identified the mind.
From there you can consciously decide what you want from life and calmly go about fulfilling these desires. You are always going to desire new things and experiences from life but if they stem from unconscious beliefs of lack and insecurity, they are going to lead you down a path that is not aligned with who you really are which will always leave you feeling incomplete. They will also cause you not to accept your current reality causing more stress and resistance to life.
Your true self is one of balance and acceptance with a vibrant creative energy. You would accept where you currently are and move towards where you want to be. Most of your old desires would probably fade away as they cause of them (deluded beliefs and insecurities) would have been dealt with. You may find yourself desiring a simpler life than before. That is not to say you won’t want to be financially free or have plenty of money because the world we live in requires money to experience most things, but the thought of having billions sitting in the bank might not be as appealing anymore.
You only have to look around to see examples of the mind in action. Millionaires striving to become billionaires and billionaires turning towards politics to become more powerful and all of this happening while kids starve to death on the streets around the world. It is completely illogical. They are so caught up in the own heads that they are unable to empathize with others anymore. Greed and power have taken over and there is no room for logic such as giving some of their billions to people who genuinely need help to survive when they are trapped in the cycle of needing more and more.

So many times we find ourselves battling the people we believe are holding us back never realizing it's our own limiting beliefs that are the problem. Thanks for the post it was good food for thought :)
The biggest trap out there is when the mind trys to eliminate or limit mind.
True, thats why we let go of the mind completely and allow awareness to come through.
