In this world that we live in, we are so quick to point fingers at others. We see what is wrong with everyone but not ourselves. We are always willing to remove the log from the eyes of another while we forget the specs and logs in our own eyes. We even blame others for our failings, it is that bad.

When our government fails, we are quick to highlight their failings and feel relaxed about our own responsibilities. We have gotten accustomed to the fact that, the moment we already blame others for the things they are not doing, it gives us a moment to feel a bit relaxed since our perfect alibi would always be, to blame the government or the system for it.

How come you failed that exam? - My dad didn’t buy the needed textbooks for me.

How come you are looking so unkept? - My mum failed to keep her promise of getting me that outfit.

Why are you not doing anything?. - Can’t you see our government? What have they been doing for us? (Don't worry, vote for me as President, and you wouldn't have to do your laundry again). Stern look

We sometimes fail to be intentional about our progress. The system has failed, yes, your dad and mum failed to live up to what they are expected to do, yes, but what are you doing? We owe ourselves so much that our dependency should be on what we can make out of our lives. Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy. Show me a man filled with excuses, and I will show you a man without insight.

We owe ourselves so much. I am not saying we shouldn’t expect too much. Of course, we should. It is our right, but when the conditions are not right, what can you do? Sit down and moan about it? Complain always and throw tantrums? The thing is, most people who have defied the odds and those we have come to admire today, did so too when the conditions were not right.

Those who wait for the uncertainty of the weather before they plant will never reap any harvest.

We should be responsible for our lives. We should be intentional about it. We should try to defy the odds and dare the impossible. I always say it that it is not always easy, yes, it isn’t, but then, trying is better than complaining without any reasonable efforts. We already know the system is flawed. We already know not everyone would help. We already know people are greedy and insensitive, it is not new, but what are you doing for yourself?

This is just a little charge for us to get our acts together, myself included. I used to be so relaxed and blame everyone except myself. No one owes me anything, that is a bitter truth I have come to learn way back when we lost our dad and mum. I knew I had to leave my comfort zone and be better for myself, only then can I be proud of myself and have a proper story to tell. Only then can I make them proud even though they are not here.

Their work was done, so why should I keep telling people I am failing because I don’t have parents? Was that the excuse they gave me when they gave me the best of conditions too before death snatched them? Even if that was the excuse they gave me, do I have to repeat their experience and make it my own reality? No. The tide has to stop and I had to be intentional about it.

We cannot always wait for the conditions to be right. We cannot always wait to hit those billions before we start working on our ideas. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. You need to launch out in faith, as you really don’t know what lies ahead for you. Oh! What if it doesn’t work out? Okay, I will say, Oh! What if it does? You never know until you at least try.

to be continued...

Thank you for your time.

No excuses or complains can get the job done, only actions can do that.
I have never seen an irresponsible man coming out on top of his game, it is only those that are responsible that always initiatite the lead.

Complains only show you the problem and not the solution, until you are responsible to act, you can never see the solution.

Complains are not totally bad, they helpful in identifying the problem but not in solving them. If you are to be the solution provider you must be responsible to act, in your actions lies the ability to trigger the change.

If you lack an idea on what to do, go and have a conversation with those that know how to complains by analysing the problem, but ensure you are with the right mind, the mind to provide solutions to whatever they complained about, I tell you, you will never be short of ideas again. I have been doing that, and it is helpful

You are not failing because of your parents, friends, uncles, relatives or because of what you failed to do yesterday. You are failing because you fail to do what you supposed to do now.

Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy. Show me a man filled with excuses, and I will show you a man without insight.

Everybody want it easy, we don't want to experience the story part of our glory, yet we all want to enjoy the accolades of glory. Hear me right, no pain no gain. No story no glory.

Be responsible, your success is already in you, it only takes a responsible mind to search out it out for for it to manifest.

Running from responsibility is running from the glory at the same time.

Thank you @olawalium and @communitycoin

Be responsible for your actions. You nailed it right there.

As funny as this sounds, i totally love it. Running from responsibility is like running from glory. We want to eat the good, we should be able to pay the price.

Complains are not totally bad, they helpful in identifying the problem but not in solving them.

Your head is there. Hahahaha.

Thanks for your beautiful comments as always.

In this world that we live in, we are so quick to point fingers at others.

Absolutely, that is what has become the other of the day the world we live in now, people tend to find fault in someone else rather than checking oneself whether we exhibit such before judging another person.

When our government fails, we are quick to highlight their failings and feel relaxed about our own responsibilities.

This is brilliant instance brother, we are prone to that in Africa, most especially Nigerians here, which has actually causing a lot of setback and underdevelopment. We citizens neglected our duties and responsibility rather we are seeking green pastures without an sense of belonging, we put everything in the hand of the government, though I'm not saying they have done the best but we must realized our own fault and find last longing solution to it. Who is even the government? Are we not the government.

Don't worry, vote for me as President, and you wouldn't have to do your laundry again). Stern look

Lol, but you really make sense oooo.
I will say this, once we failed in life we often stood to award the blame on somebody as the sole caused of our dooms and that is why we find it difficult to excel in life, flimsy excuse that doesn't have standard. To move on we really have to face reality and stop being a fault finder but rather a solution to any surfaced problem.

Their work was done, so why should I keep telling people I am failing because I don’t have parents?

I have the same experience too brother, I don't always like to get along with people who do complain often since they won't do any good. Not until we wake up from our slumber and exhibit a sense taking responsibility for whatever happens to us, we won't make any progress.

You have spoken well my brother, apportioning blame will get us no where, and taking responsibilities is the right step in the right direction for us all. It makes us better in the long run.

In all difficult life situations, human beings are basically taught by nature to be responsible and independent.

Get used to discipline yourself. You must be able to discipline yourself in order to become a responsible person. Do not think that you should have a work ethic like a prominent scientist or run a daily routine like a would-be army. You need to be able to understand how to get things done and when your work can be finished, not just to feel great because it's doing an important task, but just for fun. Being a self-discipline person is capable of setting goals and achieving them without being distracted.

Make a list of tasks you need to do every day and finish as many as you can. Give yourself a gift after successfully completing a tough task by doing fun things. Do not you forget to have fun just because you want to be a disciplined person.

Remember what the ultimate goal you want to achieve in order to stay motivated. Learning to test biology may not be a fun thing, but try to imagine how good it is to get an "A" for this lesson and how great the benefits of learning in achieving your goal of becoming a doctor.

Learn to face difficulties. If you really want to be responsible, you need to understand how to deal with all the challenges of life, not just trying to pass the math test. It may mean understanding how to behave in the event of adversity or adversity. You must be ready to take responsibility when facing bad news, stay calm, and be able to provide support to others in need. Even if the situation is not so bad, but it makes you stress, for example a failed work project, you must understand how to fix it in difficult situations. Practice difficulty. When you first encounter difficulties, you may not be able to deal with it well. However, as a person who continues to grow, you will understand how to calm down and be able to think rationally in the face of crisis.

Get used to work in parallel. Another important skill in being responsible is the ability to perform multiple tasks at once. The trick is to organize all activities in order to run well at the same time. The person in charge means being able to take care of the child well, succeeding in the workplace, and paying the bills on time the same day. Although it does not have to be completed simultaneously, you can postpone certain tasks so that other tasks can be completed properly. When it comes to working in parallel, you must be able to set priorities. Remind yourself, it's more important to pay regular bills than go to a hair salon.

Learn to be committed. Do not make commitments that make you bound to do something or with certain people so fear commit because you can only practice yoga once a month until you can not stand it anymore. Committing to do something, whether doing school bulletins or establishing a healthy new relationship, can be an opportunity to pay attention to things outside of yourself, establish good habits, and build routines through habit. Example: Research has proven that high school students who become athletes are usually more successful in lessons. Commitment to exercise to make them able to take responsibility for daily routine activities that can work well.

Commitment to taking responsibility is vital and key in life. I like this so much.

I got inspired by this.

Thanks a lot about this.

Do not wait because the time will never be ‘just right’. Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command and better tools will be found as you go along.”

But if you keep saying it not the right time to act or do something, let me tell you, there is never a perfect time for you to take action. There is never a perfect time for you to launch that project, to spend time with your family, to write a post , change your habit, or embrace a new habit. Once you acknowledge this, you will get a lot more meaningful work done everyday.

Let try to act as fast as we can and kill the excuses!
“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.

I’m too tired. I don’t have the time. I am not capable. Someone else will do it. It’s too late now. Now is not the right time. I am not talented. I am not ready. I’m too scared. Nobody will help me. What if I fail. I don’t feel motivated. I’d rather do nothing. I don’t have the money..yet!
It’s easy to come up with excuses and justify not getting started. The longer you fill your head with rationalizations and empty excuses, the less time you have to take action.
It’s easy to say, “I will start when I have more experience, money, time and resources”. By this time next year, you will have a lot more excuses. It’s a cycle. And once you get caught in the loop, it, can be difficult to break free and do something meaningful you care about

Mirror never lies, as you lay your bed you lie on it.

We often don't want to find wanting in a situation in this life, as we tend to award blame in order to get out of our mess which wont do us any good. We blame everything on the government where as we have neglected as role and duties in the society, people will surely find one excuses or the other most especially when they are wrong in one sense and the other, just like someone who lost his Parents, might find that as excuse enough not to be successful in life which is absolutely not true. You might want to start by thinking about personal responsibility. We have to take responsibility for our own actions, as oftentimes our situation or circumstances are dictated by those very actions. If someone were to cheat on a test, then fail after getting caught, who is at fault? Certainly not the teacher that caught that person; rather, it's the student who cheated. Likewise, if you decide that you're late for work and speed, you have only yourself to blame when the police pull you over and issue a ticket.

As you make your bed, so will you lie in it. In other words, you have to deal with the consequences you bring upon yourself. This goes back to responsibility, because the person who must deal with those consequences is directly responsible for having caused them in the first place.

You are so blessed for this. I really love this. Thanks a lot.

When we do not accept and take responsibility for our actions it is not likely to cause any changes or advancement in our lives. The world is full of people who blame everyone but themselves for their actions and decisions.
Hence when we do something and take responsibility for it, we also take control of the learning aspect of that decision. We look into it to see what went right or wrong and then use that information in future situations. This allows us to get better and greater results. However, when we always blame others we find ourselves constantly doing the same things over and over and getting the same poor results.
If you do something, own it. If you say something, accept the consequences. No one has responsibility for your actions other than you. Accept responsibility for everything you do and you will soon find yourself become a better and more productive person that is also liked by more and more people

God bless you for this beautiful comment. Good one.

You nailed it right there bro.

Wow, beautiful article, it reminds me of the saying that when you point your index finger at someone you actually have the rest of the four fingers pointed back at you

That was a hell of a motivational story. Great one bro. I am the type who can do any manual job as far it is legal and can bring money to my pocket. I realize that life is not fair to anyone and life owes me nothing, so i became positive about life and eliminate all negativity to become who i am today.

I love this. Life will never give us what we sometimes deserve, but what we demand. God bless you bro. Thanks a lot

Indeed, it was very motivational.
I am also one who can do manual jobs, as long as it pays in the end...

I liked your post, is very motivational. It reminds about how you CREATE your destiny, IT DOESN'T come BY ITSELF. We all are in charge of our lives.

Exactly.
You create your destiny
It doesn't come by itself
We are all in charge of our lives....

Yes, we are in charge and we should be intentional about it. Thanks a lot @claubzs.
