B. I. O. N. I. C. - Believe It Or Not It's Coming!!!

In the 70’s there were two hit TV shows called the Bionic Man and the Bionic Woman. These individuals were given futuristic replacement parts in their bodies which gave them super-human powers.. The stories involved them using these assets to produce amazing results to save the day. We may not have replacement parts in our body but we do have a similar asset at our disposal; Our attitude.

At my last monthly meeting at work, the topic of conversation revolved around being positive. Lately there had been a slip in company morale and complaining about work or each other was approaching an all time high. Our manager presented a video explaining how focusing on the negative can produce long-lasting effects even if the positive is introduced right after.

A study group decided to present opposite scenarios to two separate groups: one with a positive spin and one with a negative. The scenario revolved around an investor discussing a potential investment with a financial planner. The planner was to introduce the risk factor of the commodity by explaining it in terms of loss and gain. The facts were that the fund was predicted to increase in value by 100% but it didn’t quite reach it’s mark; it grew by 70%.

Here were the two approaches:

Group A

Great news! Fund A has impressed us greatly with its consistent growth over the last month. It has already reached an increase of 70% and we expect to keep on climbing!

Group B

Fund A was a disappointment this last month because it missed its targeted growth by 30%.

It is of no surprise that Group A felt positive about the fund’s growth and Group B did not. The fascinating point to this story is that right after Group B was delivered the skewed negative presentation they were given the same story as Group A. Did it have any effect? Absolutely not. That is because once we get a negative perspective in our minds it takes work to change it.

In this series, I will be presenting simple short stories of where the Universe has presented to me the positive manifestations of something that I’ve asked for in a miraculous way. The Law of Attraction is clear that what you focus on, positive or negative, the Universe will provide. Quite simply stated that if I focus on the promise that what I want wants me then I will plainly see the manifestations of that. In contrast, if I focus on the lack or doubt I will get more lack and nothing that I want. Better yet, I may miss the positive things that come my way because my mind is already set to perceive things as negative. So the name of this series is # Believe It Or Not It’s Coming because the blessings will come to everyone but do we miss them because we can’t see them. Are we focused so hard on the negative that we miss them? What gifts would we receive if in every situation we could look at it from a positive perspective and wait for the gift?
