STEEMIT: It has Been Impactful from Day One
2017 was a year that really brought about a turn around in my life. So many things happened that gave me exposure to many aspects of life that I have never experienced before.
One of the things that gave me exposure is Steemit. I had always been looking for platforms that will enable me to learn new things and to discover more possiblitities, steemit became the road map for me to achieve this.
My quest for financial freedom started 4 years ago when I made up my mind to build up myself to be all that I can be in order to affect many lives. Besides I needed to give the financial education to change the mindset of people so they will be able to cater for themselves.
Investing my time on steemit and meeting lots of people from different walks of life to me is worthwhile. I don't regret the time I spent here. I have been busy for a couple of years now due to school but I have not let go of my passion for writing; the reason I'm still on steemit. Though times have been hard on platform but still hook up with friends that I found on Steemit.
Having a balanced life I think it's the way forward for me now. I would have to make time for school and also for the things that I love too.
It was on the Steemit platform that I found great friends(@tj4real,@mcsamm @oppongk @odsam2 @bigssam @richforever @kwakumax) that together we have promoted the Steem gospel in the Ghanaian community. Even though promotional activities had been easy in the early days of Steemit but we still pushed to our limit. We were willing to go the extra mile to promote steemit .
It was very challenging during my early days on Steemit. I didn't know a lot of people except few folks from the @steemitghana who supported me to sail through. I wasn't making much as a newbie but I saved the little earned from my daily post.
I remember how I was able to support my niece's education with the little I was able to raise from the daily blogs, contests and other promotional activities. I'm exhilarated and fulfilled seeing my niece completes her basic education.
Steemit has indeed broadened my horizon and scope on the blockchain technology. Everything sounded so strange to me from the beginning but with time I understood and discovered more through self-learning. Thanks to great steemians who have published great contents to educate and inform.
Above all, I have made friends with a lot of people around the world. Several meetups in Ghana gave me the chance to meet wonderful people around the 16 regions in Ghana and around the world. Together we have promoted Steemit and engaged in charitable works in our community. I have had the chance to visit deprived schools, homeless children. This is something that I forever cherished.
Today we see many social media platforms where the developers have reaped the biggest rewards and still milking the regular users, leaving them with virtually nothing or meagre share but steemit has been different and has stood the test of time.
Steemit has heralded financial freedom and has instilled in many the need to work and gain. Steemit will continue to signal to social media developers the need to have their site users at heart and the need to see them as joint owners in social networking.
