SEE IT, CLAIM IT

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy .29:29

The word of God says those things revealed belong to us and our children forever, meaning what you have seen is what you can possess.

Until something is revealed unto us by God, there is no way we can claim ownership. This is the reason why revelation is very important.

When the Lord had called Abraham, He gave him a revelation concerning his life, what He has destined him to become.

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3

At the time God was giving Abraham the revelation, he had no name, wasn't great, wasn't blessed, had no child. That is how revelation is, it always look unreal, untrue, unclear and impossible, but ones it is revealed by God then it is true and will surely come to pass.

For many of us, if we were told or it was revealed to us what we will become today we would have doubted it.

God revealed something which sounded so unsure to Abraham but with the act of faith he believed it unto its accomplishment.

We also must have faith in that which God has revealed to us through dreams, prophecies, and the word of God. The most important thing is to see it first, because what has been revealed to you by God is what you can say it is yours.
For us to be able to claim what has been revealed we must be led by God. God must lead us so we can make a rightful claim.

For many people, the reason why they fail in their attempts is because they make their own claim without the help of God.

Lot failed because He saw with his normal eyes and made a wrongful claim.

And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord. Genesis 13:10-13

The Lord did not permit Abraham to choose any part of the land because all this while the Lord had not shown him the land yet. Until it is revealed to you, you cannot claim it or lay hold of it.

The Lord helped Abraham to have the eyes beyond the natural eyes, to see the land he promised him. We must have the eyes beyond the natural to see that which God has destined for us.

And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered.” Genesis 13:14-16

When Abraham had seen well, the Lord showed him how to claim what he sees. He told him:

Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” Genesis 13:17

God will never show us anything If He does not wants us to have them.

We can only make a rightful claim If we can go to Him for His word. The word of God is a guiding principles and direction in making claims concerning what He shows us.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105

Like a person making claims to property needs legal documents, we also need His word to be entitled to any revelations He has given us. This is the reason He gave Abraham His word as to how he can make entitlement to the land:

Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” Genesis 13:17

It is important to find the right scripture concerning anything the Lord has shown you in order to make claims.
