FOR THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S
Life will always present to you battles that you are going to fight in your entire life. You have to battle marital issues, financial problems, health problems and many more. In all there is one outcome we are all looking out for and that is - victory.
What you may go through is not as important as how you will get through. We are all battling with different issues in life and we all are looking for how to get through to be have victory over it. There is a sure way to have victory and that is to hand over the battle to the Lord.
THE LORD FIGHTS FOR DAVID
Goliath had challenged the Israelites to battle but no one dared to risk his life until David came to the scene. Goliath credentials and profile were read to David that he has fought since childhood and that he was very skillful and was a giant and above all very powerful with his gods and weapons. Any of these challenging and threatening achievements never bothered David for knew the God he serves as mighty man of valor.
And the Philistine said to David , "Come to me , and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!"Then David said to the Philistine , "You come to me with a sword , with a spear , and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts , the God of the armies of Israel , whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand , and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth , that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's , and He will give you into our hands."1 Samuel 17 :44-47
David acknowledged God to be the one who will be dealing with Goliath and not himself and that brought the remarkable victory. May God fight all your battles for you.
THE LORD FIGHTS FOR JEHOSHAPHAT
Two powerful nations rose up against Israel in the time and reign of King Jehoshaphat. When it seemed obvious that he would loose the battle he sought God more to invoke His power on the scene for salvation. Jehoshaphat sought God more and this brought him victory over the three nations. It is time we seek God for his intervention in our life battles.
WHAT BROUGHT ABOUT JEHOSHAPHAT'S VICTORY?
- He acknowledged God on the scene

God always wants us to acknowledge Him on the scene before anyone else and ones we do that He then becomes our salvation.
It happened after this that the people of Moab with the people of Ammon , and others with them besides the Ammonites , came to battle against Jehoshaphat. Then some came and told Jehoshaphat , saying , "A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea , from Syria; and they are in Hazazon Tamar" (which is En Gedi). And Jehoshaphat feared , and set himself to seek the Lord , and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
2 Chronicles 20 :1-4
What will bring God to the scene to fight for you is when you first acknowledge Him and seek him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart , And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him , And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3 :5-6
God always wants you to acknowledge him on every scene so he can intervene. As powerful and mighty as God is he will not come to every situation until we welcome his presence or call him.
- He positioned himself before the battle was fought
The word position means to stand. Positioning yourself in the Lord simply means coming to a place where you don't fight your own battles but rely on the Lord for salvation and for victory. This is a good place God wants us to stand or position ourselves for He said to Jehoshaphat the battle is the Lord. Relying on the power and the might of God is what guarantees our victory in Life and not our titles and connection for the scripture says:
the horses are made ready for battle but victory is of the Lord.
Our victory depends on God alone and not on our strength. When zerrubabel wanted to build a temple God told him he is not going to do it by his might and power but by His spirit Zachariah 4:6.
God wants us to be at a place of dependency on Him alone and nothing else
And He said , "Listen , all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem , and you , King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: 'Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude , for the battle is not yours , but God's. Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz , and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves , stand still and see the salvation of the Lord , who is with you , O Judah and Jerusalem!' Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them , for the Lord is with you." 2 Chronicles 20:15-17

I really neede this message today. Thanks for the reminder that the battle belongs to the lord.
welcome @jeanwandimi
This is a great reminder to always acknowledge God. I just got home from a Bible study concerning the wilderness journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land. The same theme emerges there: trust God in everything. God likes to intervene on our behalf.
@poimenpost , we need to always acknowledge God and It will be very nice if you share some your bible studies lessons here on steemit, I'm sure it will be a blessing to many steemians, thank you sir
