Dangers of Unbelief

There is a great power inherent in God's word that is able to produce tremendous results in the life of a believer. The word is the divine inspiration of God and carries power unimaginable. However the power to produce remarkable results in the life of a believer is only made possible if he has a strong faith in what the word says.

Jesus is the word and every where he went he was doing good, a mighty healer who healed the cripples or the lame, the blind, the deaf and the dumb. He gave hope to the hopeless and delivered those who we're in captive and in bondage of sin. God was with him so great miracles were seen in all his ministry work with sings and wonders manifesting.

He performed many miracles in many cities and towns but could not do much in his own home town. This is because of their unbelieve. They we're so familiar with Jesus and his family and so find it so hard to accept that was was the true word sent to the world to know the truth that can set man free.

And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these thing? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Mathew 13:54-58

To them Jesus was just someone they knew, an ordinary boy who grew in Nazareth and lived like any ordinary man. They couldn't mix the word with faith and so they never experienced so much manifestations of the power of God in their life.

This is what is making the power of God limited in the life of Christians now a days. God is all mighty and all powerful yet many hardly experience His power in their lives. When they are in serious situations they tend to believe what man says or suggest than what the word says.

Many listen to the word everyday but because they are so familiar with the word or the Scriptures they tend to view it as something they already know and have heard several times. This kind of attitude towards the word limits the word power that is able to produce results in their life.
