Starling Invasion
The other day, while driving, I happened upon a huge migration of starlings. I wish I'd been better prepared and had my camera turned on ahead of time!
The racket they all made was incredible!
Quickly flying, en masse, from tree to tree and then, in a flash, they were gone.
For a moment, I thought about chasing them in my car. Kind of like those storm chaser dudes on the Discovery channel. And then, I snapped back to reality.

Did you find out what is up with that? I see this happen too and wondered. And they are so noisy!!!
No, they just appeared out of nowhere and filled the sky with a whole lot of black, and then flew off. The images I managed to capture where after most of them were already gone.
These deserve to be in black and white :D. Some nice captures.
Yeah, in hindsight I agree with you, oh well.
