When your co-teacher can have her baby at anytime.
You know that there is going to be some adjustments to the classroom. Well today My very pregnant co-teacher started having pains and went to the director and was sent to her Doctor. We don't know if she is having the baby yet or not. We are still waiting on word from her or her family

Well it not only got the teachers excited but also the children in the class over excited. Whiched caused the children to get excited and cause us to have a rough day. You know the kind of day where it takes twice as long to get anything done.
And all the classrooms had to be set up so no teachers were out of ratio. And you still end up with all the loudest kids. The ones who can't keep their hands to themselves. I am sure you all have some of those kids. And the other kids wants to know how someone has a baby. That talk is for the parents to have with their children not me.

So at center time we practiced holding baby dolls and swaddling them. We also did a chart on how much they thought the baby would weigh. I hope the 20 pound baby guess is wrong.

So it turned out all I had planned on teaching had changed and we had to adjust the lesson plans for today. But it's ok sometimes you have to go with what is going on in their world.
