Teaching Tricks to a Dog: Comic Strip
This comic is dedicated to my dog Mochi. She's a very smart 2 year old sheltie.
Back when she was just a puppy my wife and I (mostly my wife) teach her a few tricks like paw, sit, roll over, heel, stay/wait, up and down. It didn't take that much to teach her all this tricks. It's a lot of effort though, you need to give the puppy treats and help them understand the words... anyway, here's the comic
I feel like she's very smart, she understand when we're about to leave the house and get anxious about it. She also understand commands but won't do them unless there're treats involved.
It's really funny how well she can understand our body language, so sometimes we don't have to say anything and she will understand what we mean by how we stand or move our hands... That's why I know she's very smart.
I hope you enjoyed the comic :P.
Remember, I'm running a Discord server and also a Facebook group with @jonathan-greer, in case you want to join and we can talk about webcomics and even collaborate to make ones.

Until next time!
Lol... Maybe I should have let my dog do my math homework when growing up! :)
that's what he was trying to do all along, not eating your homework, but trying to solve it for you
hahaha, and I was getting mad at him... poor little doggie!
Haha... cute! Yeah, many times I do think they're smarter than they let us think... ;) That's why they give us those expressions - "Dude, do you even know what you're saying...?!!! Hahahaha..."
Hahaha those expresions they make are just priceless
😄
Dogs is one animal i fancy it way of learning as they are smart and fast to learn @cobmaximus
Yes, and depending on the breed, some are really really smart, like they might learn things on their own without you telling them
The spoiled dog who became a works only for treats dog brat. Don't you love it?
The last frame is absolutely hilarious a twist.
And I guess we're the fools since we still fall to their brattynes hahaha... Oh yeah, learning relativity from a dog
hahahaha omg. i remember when we first got my dog, and he was deathly scared of doorways. we tried to lure him out with treats, but he refused bc he knew we were tricking him. it took us forever to teach him come here for the same reason.
There you go, another smart dog haha. It's funny how they still know about being tricked or doing something they don't want, but as long as there's food involved, they just can't help themselves
Mine are always amazing me with how smart they are and I'm sure as well, that they are way smarter than they like to show ;D
They sure know how to control and operate us to the best of their advantage :D
That's true, they're super smart and controlling... Maybe they feel we are their pets and not the other way around
For my older one, I am for sure only a servant ;D
This is pretty cool! did you draw by hand or did you draw on computer?
Anyways it was nicely done! :)
I draw by hand on a drawing tablet connected to the PC... I'm not too proficient with all the drawing tools from the software, so that's why some of the lines or things are not that clean. And I also reused some of the drawings for the different panels :P
@cobmaximus Brilliant lol! Yes, they are very clever at training and teaching us in the end. We have 2 dogs and one is very smart and the other no so... or so she'd have us believe :)
Haha that's her scheme, then when you guys leave the house she will log in to your bank account and transfer funds to her Switzerland account
Ah! So that's why there is sometimes dog hair and paw prints on my Mac... I did wonder lol...
Hahahah, can relate so much with my dog. :D My dogs even go on strike when they're jealous. Lol
Lol haha that must be very funny to see. I can picture them already haha
Just love dogs and how clever they are, your sketches are brilliant @cobmaximus
Thanks @joanstewart! Yes, very smart and clever animals
