Teachers are Marching Out with their Students
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. The U.S. is finally getting back to the grassroots of protest, the only way things can get done in a democracy. After rolling over to corporate interests since the 1970s, the average American has finally got stepped on, put down, and ripped off enough by the corpo-governmental system that has been depleting the commons and public good in the name of private wealth, corporate power and military destruction. The students are tired of the violence and walking out and the teachers, emboldened by the courage of the youth and sickened by the miserable conditions of the schools, educational funding, and their own pitiful remuneration have taken to the streets demanding better terms, respect, and reinvestment in the future! Education is the future!

Hits home for me as my wife teaches 1st grade. She hasn't participated in any walk out yet, but these are gaining momentum...and for good reason.
Gov. Snyder has taken funds away from public schools over and over since he has been in charge. Seems like a ridiculous thing to do. Education in the future, as you said.

You can only take so much before you break, for a long time teachers and students have been having a hard time, it's only fair that they get deserved their basic rights.
