Potions give me bad diarrhea
It kind of sucks. I mean, when your HP is low, there's no thinking to it, you use one of the various tiers of potions (potion, hi-potion, x-potion, etc.), if not using a cure spell or one of the top tier healing items (elixir, megalixir) - it's either that or you're dead, and praying that someone comes by with a phoenix down that they're willing to spare on you.
Seeing as I'm not too great at magic at the moment and have relatively low MP that takes FOREVER to refill, I'm unfortunately very reliant on healing items. Why do you say unfortunate, you ask? Oh, well, mostly because using any tier of potion is the equivalent for me of taking a whole bottle of laxative. We're talking EXPLOSIVE diarrhea! Like, there isn't an ounce of water or sweat left in my trembling body after I get done spraying down all the interior walls of my bathroom with my stinky, liquid doodoo.
This gives me a hesitancy to soaking up a potion, no matter how low my HP happens to go, and, it kind of goes without saying, it isn't good... not for me and my chances of not being KOed by a grizzly fiend.
Luckily, I've always found a way to fight the fear of explosive diarrhea enough to get off the potion command, but I've come DAMN close to stalling a bit too long.
Anymore, I pop a Pepto Bismal every time that I use a potion, which helps lessen the severity of the aftermath, but only by a few notches.
