Time to buy Steem!
Thanks to the recent drop in price, I now think it is time to accumulate more Steem. @leavmealone wrote a post that highlighted how @ned and @dantheman recently "dumped" 50,500 worth of Steem on the market. To me this is an effort to encourage people who truly support the platform to buy in and buy in cheap. This will also help the growth and prosperity of the platform in a few ways:
- Encourage more people to buy at low prices and spread out the Steem Power and possibly create more whales. This is good for the community, because it creates more influential people who can help this community grow through curation and content review
- More Whales equates to more voting power which means more posts get read which also means more people whose upvotes will make a difference in the long run. Spread the power and wealth.
- Eventually the price will recover, so those who truly believe in the platform and support it by buying in, will eventually earn from the profits gained as the price of Steem recovers. Just think you earn on two fronts - you become a more influential curator and you earn money from the increase of the value of the Steem you hold

That is the strategy, but most likely buy low, hold, and then sell when VERY HIGH
...alongside producing VERY HIGH quality content for STEEMIT ;)

I'm waiting for a large chunk of my steem dollars to be converted into steem. It's a little nerve-racking having to wait 7 days for it to transfer. I hope the price stays low for at least 4 more days.
