I'm really tired of seeing so much promotion of things we don't need at all.
In this video I talked about this topic and I hope you will learn from that.
It's sad to see, so many people trust companies that want only to make more money.
Even I fell in such traps before, but thanks god I learned a lesson and I will be careful in the future.

Apple should have had all their phone with varied versions of OS according to hardware compatibility. I purchased my first iPhone in year 2013, it was iPhone 4s, what a piece of art, it was great but now it is useless (yes useless) because it is not compatible with the new OS. Right now I have iPhone 6s, and I must say it is as good as dead now, but I made my mind to switch to android now. Now the question is how many times we going to buy iPhone?, on an average a serious iPhone lover had spend around at-least $5000+ so far. WTF??? No wonder why Apple became world first trillion dollar company. Good for them, bad for people's pocket.
Of course. All the systems made especially to make us buy new phone. In the case of apple is vry clear. But androind is better of couse. Sometimes even with android, if the phone is not expenssive it maybe slow. But it's better than the tricky ios of course.
Like you've mentioned, it's just a marketing strategy to get a particular brand in the hearts of people. It's all same product recycled. That exploit only happens in the centralized economies of things.

Yeah, I still think about how we can protect ourselves from those companies and their ads. Still falling sometimes in their trap. The promotion is really strong and they use psychological methods to make people buy everything.
@clixmoney, First of all i don't like those Companies which releases product back to back because in a way it looks like to Trap people with their amusing and attracting advertisements. And dark side of these kind of highly priced gadgets are, people buy it sometimes by crossing beyond their financial limits and this shows how much impact these Advertisements have and how it's controlling people's mind.

That's totally correct, they are really brain washing the crowd by their fancy advertisements. They use technics that maybe not allowed to use. But, if they have so much money, everyone can close their eyes and months and let them do what they want. All that will never end, that's why we have ourselves to learn the self control, what's not that easy sometimes.
For that Mass Awakening is needed. So let's hope that we will going to see the good change.

I think we need to use the product we buy until it work for us. For example I used one smartphone for 5 years until it broke. And 5 years later that phone still works for me (before it broke of course). So we need to stop listen to bad media and try to think better before buy or do something. How about being minimalist? That is a good option for me
Yeah, minimalism is good. I also usually use phones for a long time. But, I buy only if it's really needed. Recently I updated my phone to have better camera, but I never buy something just to tell people that I have it. What a lot like to do.
What I think is it totally depends upon the customer's requirements, what they are looking for. Definitely these days companies are fighting real hard with each other with giving great specs, value for money and all that stuff. Now it comes down to only one person, the customer what they want. Advertisements are really giving efforts towards driving customers to their side but can't have the final say which only the customer has.
