I choose love.

Though anger, though rage,
roils in billowing flame
across the hillocks of my inner world,
though it’s boiling in the husk of me,
I choose love.

I choose the steady silver light
and the clean sweep of cool wind;
the present, unveiled clarity;
the expansive, endless opening
to a greater, collective deep,

where exuberance in you swells the same in me;
where wonder in me resonates the like in you;
where I know the shared ocean of us,

which love is.
