Eagles to Take Down Rogue Drones!
As a co-founder of a company involved with drones and related sensors, I am well aware of the potential security threats related to small drones. Today, anybody could buy for less than 50$ a system which could be used to deliver a small explosive charge (e.g. one comparable to an anti-personnel mine) at close proximity to any outdoor target (I am not providing further details for obvious reasons…).
Such systems are very difficult to detect quickly. Traditional protection strategies involve jamming drone signals or capturing drones in nets fired by defender drones, but these methods have not proven very effective so far. One problem is that they tend to make drones fall to the ground out of control, which is potentially dangerous in crowded areas.
Thankfully, sometimes legacy strategies are more effective than technological ones!
A Dutch firm has been training eagles to intercept hostile small drones, and nowadays Dutch police are ready to deploy a team of eagles to take down rogue drones. See how effective they are…. https://youtu.be/dc_ovddVRKE
One specific advantage when compared to electronic countermeasures is that eagles are able to bring drones safely to the ground, rather than causing them to crash at the risk of those below.

How amazing to train Eagles ! Go go go !
Eagles are so beautiful. They are mighty and elegant. Could watch them all day.
Wow, questo video mi fa venire voglia di diventare un falconiere!
Well what about security risks of people training eagles? But then we can use bigger drones to take them out ;) Oh what a complicated world we live in.

Name of company ? I am working on a project that may be of interest or that may benefit each other.

Another advantage is that Eagles are probably harder to hack. https://www.wired.com/2016/03/hacker-says-can-hijack-35k-police-drone-mile-away/
