I spent an evening at the pizzeria Starita in Milan, very re-born in the great metropolis, in this case it preserves the Neapolitan tradition of pizza. In fact the real Neapolitan pizza is fried in oil and by Starita, after being seasoned, it is finally cooked in a wood oven.

Ho trascorso una serata presso la pizzeria Starita di Milano, molto rinomato nella grande metropoli, in quanto conserva la tradizione napoletana della pizza. Infatti la vera pizza napoletana è fritta nell'olio e da Starita, dopo essere stata condita, è cotta infine nel forno a legna.

The popular pizzeria is always full and reservations must be made since afternoon, if you don't want to wait outside for a long time. The dining room is not in a mess but the tables are well laid out and the waiters, very polite, are also quick to order and in a few minutes the pizza has arrived at the table.

La popolare pizzeria è sempre piena ed è obbligatorio prenotare sin da pomeriggio, se non volete attendere fuori per molto tempo. La sala non è grane ma i tavoli sono ben disposti ed i camerieri, molto cortesi, sono anche rapidi nelle ordinazioni ed in pochi muniti la pizza è arrivata al tavolo.

The Neapolitan pizza, besides being fried, is also double. The edge of the pizza is the best part and you can appreciate the quality and smell of the dough. Condiments are first choice products and buffalo mozzarella is exceptional. The sauce is thick and fragrant and the basil is really fresh.

La pizza napoletana, oltre ad essere fritta, è anche doppia. Il bordo della pizza è la parte più buona e si può apprezzare la qualità ed il profumo dell'impasto. I condimenti sono prodotti di prima scelta e la mozzarella di bufala è . La salsa è densa e profumata ed il basilico è davvero fresco.

Starita is a reference point for those who want to eat pizza in Milan. The menu is not cheap and with about 20 euros you can eat an excellent pizza and drink a glass of cold draft beer.
