I'd say, if your other posts were similar to this one then probably not. There are other methods to earn though other than posting such as up voting others content if you think it would be useful or interesting to other users.
I'm new to Steemit also so I'm just looking around at the moment getting a feel for it. This is actually my first comment on a post and I dare say other users can point you in the right direction more than myself. Everyone has to start somewhere though.
