It's Not You; it's You.

For all of you out there that feel like you're failing; just breathe.

We can get so caught up in our crazy, busy lives that we can become so overly critical of ourselves.

We can sometimes find ourselves running at 100 miles per hour in all different directions not completing anything or sort of half-doing bits and pieces of our goals.

First of all, perfection is impossible.

Yes, we should strive everyday to become better versions of ourselves, but that does not mean that every single aspect of our lives will be running on all cylinders without a hitch. That isn't the way it goes at all. You shouldn't expect it to.

Secondly, taking the time to pull the microscope off of what is going wrong or what isn't happening fast enough and putting more emphasis on simple gratitude will put things into a much more positive perspective.

Take a look at the positives and realize that it isn't as bad as you think it is. You're still alive and kicking so that means you've done something right.

Next, take it one step at a time. Whatever isn't working right now doesn't mean you're failing. It's a journey.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. You don't have to have it all together all at once. Just take your time and chip away at it.

Lastly, know when to rest. When your body and mind are checking out, your creativity and will to do will check out as well.

That's your vessel letting you know that you're human and that you require some self-care. Always take time to regroup and recharge.

Sometimes our biggest critic is the person in the mirror.
