Republican strategy: Trump's a racist

Lately, the Republican Party has developed a Motto: " It's not us-it's Trump!"

With the leader of the Senat Republicans Mitch McConnel, and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan slowly but surely turning away from the president to "save face", who knows what can happen in 2020.
Most powerful Republicans are condemning Trump and his behavior. Thus, this leads to a possibility of Paul Ryan coming to the "scene" and becoming the main front runner in the future elections.
