Bitcoin Gold Hard Fork - 6 Hours
Bitcoin Gold will be released in three days. Are you ready for it? I’ve posted an article on my blog about what is Bitcoin Gold and how you can potentially profit from the fork.
Do you remember BitcoinCash? Apparently, Bitcoin will “enjoy” the same kind of fork once again, though this time some things will be different.
First of all, please remember to follow these guidelines to avoid any unpleasant surprises:
- Do not give your keys to any third-party website. The change will happen automatically and you do not have to make any Bitcoin transactions in order to receive your BitcoinCash tokens.
- In fact, try to avoid any transactions during the fork.
- Make sure your keys are safe.
- Take all your money from exchangers some hours before the fork happens.
While no one knows whether this new fork will make the crypto economy better, it is certain that Bitcoin Gold offers some interesting concepts to say the least.
First of all, Bitcoin Gold is ASIC-resistant because it is based on Equihash algorithm. The main idea behind Bitcoin Gold is to take the power from Chinese ASIC mining monopolies and allow common folks to mine using their GPUs at home once again. However, how realistic is that plan?
Secondly, Bitcoin Gold enjoys all the latest optimizations as Bitcoin, such as SegWit. Does that mean that Bitcoin Gold is more technically advanced than BitcoinCash? Totally yes. Does that mean that it has better prospects too? Here is where opinions differ. There are certain reasons why some people are skeptical about this new fork. Others are quite optimistic about it.
