Attention allows dialogue, and allows the connection of the world in its infinite totality. Attention then, is the ability to keep everything alive, so many things and within them the dialogue; People can not and should not go through life without seeing and hearing another voice that is not only their own, this would lead to a cycle that does not end and that is not healthy at all, therefore, attention allows us to live, experience, and even know and learn.

You can educate in being attentive and, in doing so, people are taught to have autonomy, because being attentive implies an infinite number of events to which one must expose oneself in order to learn in the best way.
It is necessary to emphasize that autonomy can not be confused, with the capacity to give itself its own orientations.
