The language of children can be stimulated through the same language; For this stimulation no type of game or didactic material is required, simply certain types of contexts are needed to use the strategies and favor the increase of the vocabulary and the improvement of the structure of the sentences.


Strategies that favor language through their own way of expressing themselves

First strategy.

Talk about themselves. This strategy can be used even on slightly older babies and / or children who do not yet speak. In this strategy it is about narrating or describing what the child is feeling, as if he were saying it, but in reality it is the adult who does it.

It is about describing and narrating what the child in his own words can not yet say, but is experiencing. In this way, the child will understand that the language he is hearing is related to the action and the things he is feeling at that precise moment.

Second strategy.

Parallel speech strategy. In this strategy, it is about describing and narrating, but being very punctual in the actions that the child performs. To carry out this strategy, the child must have an age of one (01) to two (02) years relatively; The child must be able to move in different spaces, even if he does not walk, but if he can crawl and this allows him greater mobility in larger spaces, then the child already begins to perform different types of actions, for example: dragging or grabbing toys, Items for the home, among others.

The adult, then, must describe each of the actions that the child is performing, being totally specific and, in this way the child will be able to understand the meanings of each description.

The idea of ​​describing each action is so that the child understands that therefore each act performed corresponds to a verb.

Third strategy.

Strategy for the expansion of language. In the expansion of language, what should be done is that through a broadcast of the child, he should be provided with more grammatical information.

Example:

  • If the child mentions: Look, dog runs.

  • The adult should answer: If the dog is running.

Actually you are not giving more information, you are simply improving the structure of the broadcast that the child manifested. The child by means of this type of actions, will be giving account as it is that it must structure and how the order of the words should go according to the language.

Fourth strategy.

The extension of the language. This strategy differs from the expansion, because the extension offers additional information, which is not manifested by the child himself.

It is about specifying what surrounds the child for his understanding, for example, being punctual in colors, shapes, animals, among others. This gives you more additional information to which the child already keeps structuring and helps him to understand and determine what kind of verbs, adjectives, among others, are used in his specific language to expand the information.

It should be possible to try to provide much more information to the child, which enriches the bocavulario, where several examples are immersed, which help to see how the way of interpreting and speaking is structured.

Fifth strategy.

This fifth example is not a strategy as such, but it does help since it is the use of different examples of contexts in which you can use the very varied strategies that exist to improve language through your own language.

No particular material or game is needed, it is not necessary to build the constexts to be able to use the strategies.

  • Exits to the parks.

  • Exits to the zoo.

  • Among many others.

In these outputs you can work colors, shapes, flavors, vocabulary, and even textures. In this way you can go working with the child all this information, which can be experienced directly.
